Pants: Band of Outsiders, Shoes: Converse, Everything else: Vintage
The jacket which somewhat reminds me of Japanese "Kimono" plus
converse sneakers and the hat which looks a little worn out.
This contrast indeed interested me, and at the same time,
I felt I have to stop walking to talk to him.
I have seen a bunch of clothing and styles in my life
and I kind of figured out that the moment the clothing come to life is like a chemical reaction.
We could produce something, explode and fail, or sometimes we have no result.
Those people who have been putting on million kinds of clothes, like a scientist,
could make it successful pretty much all the time.
I mean, the entire process to the outfit is not just "what to wear",
but a sort of a creation that produces something with A, B and C.
どこか日本の着物を思わせる羽織、
対照的にボロボロのハットと足下はコンバース。
なんだか少し突拍子もないイメージについつい足を止め、話しかけてしまう。
今までたくさんの服を色々な形で見てきて思うけれど、
その服達が活きる瞬間というのはいわゆる化学反応のようなもので。
何かが生成されるか、どかんと失敗するか、時には何も起きないことも。
あらゆる物に袖を通し、実験を繰り返してきたある意味科学者彼ら。
その成功率が極めて高い。
何を着るか、ではなく何と何で何を創るかという作業。
